This is a known limitation, [Rotation gizmos with non uniform scaling by CedricGuillemet · Pull Request #13240 · BabylonJS/Babylon.js (github.com)](https://github.com/BabylonJS/Babylon.js/pull/13240). We display a warning when this is tried, but I’ll also reinforce this in the relevant jsdocs.
