Using scene fog on a LineMesh


I made a simple grid with CreateLineSystem, as lineMesh don’t actually support StandardMaterial from what i know, it seems that the fog does not apply on the grid.

I tried to replace the lines by some tubes but it’s not really optimized. My last option would be to use the Line2D function that i saw somewhere in the documentation.

So, should i replace CreateLineSystem by merged Line2D meshes or is there a better way to do it ?

The GridMaterial could work well here I think, as it supports fog and is easy to use. You’d prob need separate mesh for the two green and red colored axes lines down the middle thou I think. :slightly_smiling_face:

Edit, or maybe @Evgeni_Popov will have a clever way to make that grid with the 2 colored axis lines with NME. :smiley: :beers:

Edit2, Here’s an example that looks more like your target image, with a grid material affected by fog (on a flat ground) and two lineMeshes for the green and red axis lines. With this solution the 2 axis lines aren’t affected by fog but the rest of the grid is. :slightly_smiling_face:
