I went on this massive journey to learn how to sing so I studied the crap out of the vocal tract. I even underwent a laryngoscopy (it was painful!). I wanted to know what was really going on inside. I couldn’t find any clear video or animation on how things really worked so I built my own voice simulator and used my own vocal samples. This project was so difficult I almost gave up!

I could definitely expand this because there’s more to singing/speaking than just this. Quite a lot affects the sound that comes out. The problem is the reference material is lacking. All that exists are videofluoroscopies (video x-ray of someone singing) and laryngoscopies (small camera inside vocal tract) and these only show one angle. So my concern is having to guess and possibility presenting inaccurate animations.

This looks like an incredible learning tool! I studied linguistics at uni and would have loved something like this when learning about the larynx.
