How can I improve the quality of HighlightLayer?

Hey everyone,

I seem to struggle when it comes to the quality of this HighlightLayer.

Especially when the plane edges are almost vertical/horizontal, I get these steps in the highlight that look almost like stairs :slight_smile:

I’m hoping to get the forum’s help on 2 topics:

  1. Smooth out the jagged edges.
  2. Increase the width of the highlight layer. This is an example I’m trying to replicate (the example is built in three.js), butI can’t get anywhere near it…

Is something like this even possible? I tried playing with the options for the HighlightLayer but nothing looks better than the default values.

You can try to enable MSAA on the texture used by the layer (see line 43):
