Hi folks, I’ve been following the ES6 docs for setting up a physics plugin with Babylon, However the AmmoJSPlugin keeps giving me an error TypeError: Ammo.btCompoundShape is not a constructor Heres my webpack config. At the bottom I’m using the ProvidePlugin like in the docs to point Ammo to ammo…

Unfortunately Ammo does not seem to be as Webpack friendly as I thought :frowning: So here you can : npm install kripken/ammo.js This will install ammo as an npm dependency from github as there is no up to date package. Then in your webpack config, do not rely on providePlugin as it would push t…

[image] to5ta: btw. i wont be using physics now as i had a hard time building up a reasonable character controller that interacts with pyhsics… What problems are you having ? I am currently using using the bullet kinematic character controller as the underlying backbone to the BABYLON.Charac…

thanks for mentioning, ill give it a try  @MackeyK24 which one do you mean exactly? ^^

Do you mean this controller ? I kind of did the same approach, but it does not use an physics engine afaik, only basic raycasting and intersection stuff… but i think this topic is maybe worth starting a new thread eventually.

Nope… I use the Unity Style Approach To Character Controllers. So in unity you setup the character with the CharacterController component and use script to move around: character.move() function

In webpack5, looks like they want us to use fallback instead of node, as mentioned here: Node | webpack I got it to build with ammo like so: webpack.config.js: module.exports = { ... resolve: { fallback: { 'fs': false, 'path': false, // ammo.js seems to also use path } }…

Cool, PR submitted to update documentation: Update ammo.js instructions for webpack v5 by JohnnyFun · Pull Request #180 · BabylonJS/Documentation · GitHub

I can see it has been merged thanks a lot !!!

I’m back again with more ammo/webpack woes :crying_cat_face: I’ve updated to webpack 5 and updated my config with fallback instead of node like @JohnnyFun mentioned. However all I can get out of it is this error Uncaught (in promise) TypeError: this is undefined I’ve tried everything I can think …

What’s the full stack trace of the error? Wonder if it’s an npm package related to webpack that also needs to be updated maybe?
