Animation Group Current Frame?

Is the only way to get the current frame of an animation group to dive down into the group and go group.targetedAnimaitions[0].animatiables[0].masterFrame?

that might not be the exact param path but that idea. Basically is there any other way to get the masterFrame of the group besides the animatable?
