Huh, no? may be you should start by giving a name to your ‘object’ or just call ‘Object’?
To be honest, I have no clue what I’m typing here, sry ![]()
Going try this… hope this will work
I tried export scene and i exported this

in sandbox is this
i am going try export mesh with the second function but i wanted all in one
Don’t you have a server to try importing your scenes? Re-importing in the sandbox doesn’t really look like an end-user solution to me.
Idk … it doesnt work
Import works because i tried download some .obj obejct from web and it was imported.
Why did you ask.
I hoped you have solution.
@MrPeter we’re only able to help you to a certain extent if you are not sharing your code. The Babylon community is full of very kind and helpful people, and it’s only right to be equally helpful to them in return and put in the effort. You can share your code in a multitude of ways, like a Github project or CodeSandbox. Angular - CodeSandbox.
I’m sorry to say you are messing things up here. If you would read the doc correctly, it would take longer until you test and reply (apologies, but I just have to say). Like what is:
objectUrl = (window.webkitURL || window.URL).createObjectURL(blob);
You said you wanted to export the scene, so why are you using MESHES only export in your script?
You know what (here is my advise). Forget your OBJ for a minute, simply create a sphere or a box and a default camera and light in BJS, next export your scene with this script. Create a new scene and try import this one. IT JUST HAS TO WORK. Else, we will make a PR and claim it as a bug.
It’s time for me to make dinner now, so I will check back on this tomorrow morning only. Meanwhile, my best advise (take it or leave it), take some distance from your project, read the doc and make some of (my favorite
‘try, fail and try harder’ attempts. And we’ll debrief this tomorrow if this is OK with you?
I will try.
It is project where i made new function, will help you files which i edited and created? There are not all files, its very big project with database, java spring angular etc… bu i sended my files to the teacher so i can send it to you if you wanna help. It is not enougth to start project but you will see more.
Will you able to help me when i will send you few files?
Maybe it does not work because of .babylon surfix. I rewrited it to .obj or .glb and it do nothing in sandbox. How can i import .babylon? ![]()

Please follow mawa’s instructions:

try to get a simple export-import flow working (outside of your full project), read the Babylon docs and take your time to really understand what’s going on there. Take a few moments to read these guides on asking programming questions too: How to Ask Programming Questions — ProPublica, How to Ask for Programming Help | Coding Killed the Cat (wordpress.com), Short, Self Contained, Correct Example (sscce.org), How do I ask a good question? - Help Center - Code Review Stack Exchange, asking good questions is a very important skill for a programmer.
Yes but i havent enought time. I will try create this easy setup but i dont think it will help… i will let you know.
I exported this: https://playground.babylonjs.com/#6XIT28#2719
And imported in this: https://playground.babylonjs.com/#88CB6A#1
And it works … now i am going to try it in my big project .
I have 2 weeks and nothing work
i hope we will find solution together.
cc @Guillaume_Pelletier to have a look if he can ![]()
Hello all,
First, let me sayed that i fully online with @mawa and @carolhmj.
At this stage, without more informations and code sample, we would not beeing able to sort this out.
However, reading all the post, i believe @mawa gave you the solution into the very first response.
What you need is a scene descriptor scheme, whatever the physical format (file, database,…), merging together individual objects as a graph with transform nodes.
GLTF, OBJ are individual object (despite the fact that a scene field is present into the gltf items, let say that this gltf scene is the “object scene”) and are leafs of the reconstructed scene, which mean you may import it with a transform.
This is a common subject into the industry where we need to reconstruct scene on the fly, with individuals items which may be of different format and own by other system.
This is the case for JT, BIM, and also USD or Cesium 3D tiles, etc…
In this case, one simple solution may be to add a couple of table into you DB, to hold scene and link between the scene and objects.
Note that the above model is suffering of many limits and you may introduce a simple TransformNode table which let you dealing with object grouping… but again this is a whole subject by itself, so keep it simple for the purpose.
Hope this help.
See, this is wrong design thinking. You just did the easy process and it’s now working. Means now you can move on with implementing for your project, WITH A SOLID BASE. We all (starting with myself) always think we don’t have the time (in fact, we never have enough time). But when you are stuck (believe me), there’s only one way to go. Rework from the base. Step by step. Else you will loose just a lot more time and in the end, won’t have a clue of what you are doing anymore (and will not be able to deliver). This is the base of project mgmt and is true for every project (not just bjs).
Yes but this is not my project and i just adding som functions there and this is the last ![]()
