I made a cozy bird photography game for the GameJam+

:parrot: PioClip!

Hi everyone, I just want to share this game that I made with my girlfriend and 3 more friends for a Game Jam, My goal with this game is was to prove quick iterations of a simple mechanic and slowly improve the aesthetics and gameplay in 48h.

Please any feedback is welcome let me know if you would like any mechanic or something feels weird while playing.

Thank you for playing in advance!!

Hi @georgie I had a side quest without physics and floating point I made this gamejam to complete a simpler game with a smaller scope. What can I do make the Sprites rotate around just the Y axis?

hey @Peipol just to make sure I understand, your game is not using floatingOriginMode and you are trying to limit rotation such that you only rotate sprites around the Y axis?

Looking at the above link it seems you are using FreeCamera, which doesn’t offer this granular control over rotation via the camera API itself. However you can achieve the desired behavior by manually resetting the camera’s rotation on each frame like this Babylon.js Playground. This solution is not the most performant, but it shouldn’t impact your gameplay in this case. Let me know if this is sufficient or if you need something more robust!

Love it! It looks great and the music is catchy ^^ My only gripe is with the camera auto rotating, I almost got motion thickness

Got it do you recomend another camera?

Depends on the type of interaction you desire, but if you use arcrotatecamera you can limit the y rotation using upperBetaLimit/lowerBetaLimit

Babylon.js Playground

Also, awesome game!!
