I do not know enough about ORTHOGRAPHIC_CAMERA mode to know it use and why the following works but setting the plane’s sideOrientation to the back side shows the plane.

yup by default following the camera bounds, it would look like facing backward so the plane would have to be rotated 180 https://playground.babylonjs.com/#J97VBG#3
