Preparing to launch an app with Babylon.js. We have an app in place that functions, but we’re really looking to push it to the next level. Real edge case stuff. Looking for a very senior babylon js dev that can help take this over the finish line.
We’d like to add things like
detection for manifold on uploaded stl files
potential work with Blender processes on AWS deadline cloud
ability to reduce poly counts on uploaded stls to ensure they work with our system ( using CSG subtractions and others)
live csg subtractions while dragging components, or a very strong understanding of stencils or masking live.
strong understanding of mesh hierarchy, ability to split a submesh into new meshes, or at least the ability to manipulate and rotate submeshes.
If you can do these in your sleep, please reach out!
Thanks for reaching out! We have many upgrades and edits to our software to handle over the upcoming months, but to reach MVP, we need to resolve the issues stated on my post linked at the bottom of this message.
Can you resolve these questions? If you can create a test app that shows these working, I’d be happy to pay you for your time, and hire you to create our future upgrades.
Hi Michael, thank you for your response. I’ve reviewed your questions and I’m confident I can create a test app to address them. If you’re open to it, can we continue our conversation on WhatsApp? Thank you.
I work deeply with Babylon.js and have a solid grip on the areas you mentione
Can help you build reliable systems around those edge cases without overengineering.
Blender process integration and submesh manipulation are well within scope.
Happy to discuss how I can support the next phase of your app.
Gave you an example of how to split and gizmo the split objects without involving blender.. most of these operations don’t require using blender, just knowing babylon.js and 3d operations is enough. Hit back when you have time.
I’ve already written the function that supports submeshes for that if you need it.. but let me know if you would like to continue any further. I’m assuming this will be closed.
