Looking for Babylon.js feedback on lighting, primitives, and FPS feel for our Steam game

Hey Babylon.js community!

We’ve been building a game called For The Realm, a co-op fantasy deckbuilding roguelike RPG, and I’d love to get feedback from people who know Babylon.js well.

Steam page:

The main thing I’m looking for is Babylon-specific feedback. I’m trying to sanity check whether the game feels right from a rendering / presentation perspective.

A few things I’d really appreciate thoughts on:

  • Are we using Babylon lighting in a way that feels good for the scene?
  • Do the primitives / simple geometry feel okay, or does anything look too flat or placeholder?
  • Does the camera angle and scene readability feel right?
  • Does the FPS / performance feel smooth enough?
  • Does the UI sit well on top of the Babylon scene?
  • Anything visually or technically that feels “off” to other Babylon devs?

We’re also running Steam playtests, so if anyone wants to try it hands-on and give feedback on how it feels in motion, that would be super helpful.

I’m not really looking for marketing feedback as much as technical / game feel feedback from people who work with Babylon.js.

Thanks, really appreciate any thoughts!

Nice and Beautiful job sir!!

Hello, and welcome. This looks really good!
However, one thing I noticed is that some of the VFX textures appear to be clipping.

Like here for example:
