Looking for babylon.js developer for 1-2 weeks to collaborate on a sci-fi nethack game

hi!

My name is Tim and I’m looking for someone who has serious skills in babylon.js. to work for 1 or 2 weeks on a visually simple yet achievable multiplayer roguelike (my part is probably 3+ more months)…. I will do the UI, gameplay, etc (I have done quite a bit actually, and have networking and multiplayer connecting to the same game, game lobby, simple authentication, etc). But my rendering engine is currently using JavaScript ray march library but i don’t have the knowledge to add features, so I’m backtracking and building a new rendering engine to add different features but have the basics but i really don’t know much about 3d so it’s very ugly lol.

I’ve attached screenshots of what the DOM based UI looks like, what and what I’m trying to make the rendering engine look like:

That style is ‘loosely’ the goal.

Here’s my current DOM based UI:

Sadly i can only put 5 pics in a post but i promise you.. players can connect to the server, and can move around.

I just started a babylon based renderer that doesn’t have textures and everything is too bright:

but after a week i’ve realized i’m way over my head. i could maybe get a collaborator to spend a week or 2 on the engine and call it a day, while I do everything else and make much more progress!

If anyone is interested and has the babylon skills (vibecoding will only get you so far unless your amazing at it)…

Ok Thank you!

Cheers!

This is my dungeon being rendered using a raymarch library with a player connected. it’s fast (60fps) but doesn’t have the features I want (floor decals, etc).

Switching to babylon cause this is what i’m ‘loosely’ looking for:

ok if you’re interested let me know!

Hiya….

I just wanted to let you know that this isn’t for pay or anything. It’s just a collaborate on. You would own all code for the renderer and you can post it on GitHub etc etc.

But if you’re interested, we can definitely get into details and talk about this extensively!

Thank you!

hiya… wanna msg me? thank you!
