Terachain - My first commercial game with BabylonJS

My humble games are Emerald Geography and Jigsaw Puzzle Palace. I didn’t really miss the overlay because my games don’t need any functionality from it, but your players will notice it’s not there. It was one of the first things my friend pointed out. You’ll also get a message from Valve saying it doesn’t work, but it won’t stop you from releasing your game.

Using a specific version of chromium gives you a full control. I’ve been doing games for Poki and found 100s of issues just because of old browsers or some specific version which has a webgl bug. So Electron seems like the best option. And it doesn’t matter if you need to download 50mb more on Steam.

I also been using html for ui but recently switched to Pixi to be able to use sprite atlases, bitmap fonts and everything renders in a few draw calls.

Hey @Alexander_Sosnovskiy , curious about your usage of Pixi for UI, what would you like to see in Babylon UI/2D to help you in the future? Not promising anything, but just trying to understand what people find useful in this area.

@Kochab Your games seem awesome. Thank you for sharing and for the valuable information about the Steam Overlay

@Alexander_Sosnovskiy Actually, one of the reasons I’ve been thinking about using Electron.js is precisely because of these problems. I have a SaaS application with 3D technologies that suffers greatly from differences between browsers, or even between versions of the same browser.
