Using the center of the camera to pick a solid particle

My crosshair is in the center of the screen.

How do I use that as the mesh (particle in this case) picker?

If you hit escape, you can pick the particle. But I want the center of the camera (I think) to project the ray, but I can’t figure out how to do it.


I saw a First Person Shooter project around here recently. As I recall, there were cross hairs and pointerLock. But I haven’t been able to find it.
