I didn’t change anything just hacked the Adobe typekit font loader to preload the font. @mawa has kindly let the fate of this project to me ( long story ) so now I’m publishing it!
This is SO sHEEEEESH : O

@Heaust-ops you bein’ sensitive like Klaus H in Umbrella Academy:
@roland One very minor thing, there seems to be a horizontal line overlay but when the demo goes full screen on my 32:9 aspect ratio ultrawide, the horizontal line overlay doesn’t extend edge to edge, but instead stops at maybe 6:4 aspect ratio?
I’ve checked it. It’s a composited texture (bg+text+lines), to be precise 4 textures and they wasn’t created for ultrawide screens. I don’t have the source files so it’s something not easily fixable so it will remain as is.
Anyway thanks for letting me know! Hopefuly this small annoyance doesn’t kill the overall experience!
Indeed. It really does . It’s a realm of possibilities for a simple designer like me. There’s so much in this tool to discover and unleash your creativity (with minimal impact on perf !).
I though it deserves to be featured. I hope many other people will share their creative mind using greasedLine
Well, you know what I told you before… I’m just your humble servant on this
It takes little effort to make a clumsy demo out of a great feature Give me a ‘piece of sh*t’ and I’ll turn it into a piece of with FX … Give me a great feature, and I’ll eventually add some level of ‘immersion’ to it (eventually)
Your contribution creating and next improving and maintaining greasedLine is simply incredible and beyond any other contribution that’s been made by the Community so far (in my opinion). And that means a lot given the level and the quality of all contributions made.
Long live ‘greasedLine’
Yeah. That’s clearly my bad. Overlays are not accounting this ratio. I eventually wanted to and also make the mobile version… instead, lazy me simply handed the crap over to @roland (sry )
Edit:
I’ll fix it and send you the rev version so you can update if you wish to do so. Just give me a couple of days
Nice demo ! I’m an audiophile and just watched the demo full screen, with good and loud studio monitoring speakers… Stunning
Out of curiosity, I have a few questions :
Apart from the sound analyser (Which I guess is real time) is there some kind of synchro to start other animations ? I mean, do you just start the music and then rely on time (assuming the music duration is guaranteed to be fixed, and started at the moment you asked) or do you have somekind of loopback procedure to extract synchro ?
(A bit related to previous one) Sometimes some shapes appear on the words (Heart, Flammes, etc) is it done 100% manually or is there some kind of automatic / AI procedure to generate these ?
As much as I would have loved to do it differently, I’m afraid this is just based on runtime animation. I was actually waiting for audio V2 to make this differently… but as far as I know, this thingy hasn’t shown yet
Edit:
From my experience, the audio playback is guaranteed. I’m saying based on my ‘space museum’ auditorium project. It appears audio V1 (which is actually not from BJS) is running on time in all cases. Even switching tabs or anything. However, the animations timed on runtime can go ‘haywire’ in such case. That’s why I was (I still am) very much awaiting the features promised for audio V2.
