hey! I’ve been developing a skateboarding game using Babylon! First started on Three.js, then discovered Babylon and Havok! It’s been an incredible learning curve. Heres a dev-ramble.

We are currently at v0.0.15, learning what heightmaps can do with GEOjson and proper chunk foliage systems. Everything is free and located on this github. Requires Live Server (VCS or similar). Please enjoy lol
This is a record labels attempt at keeping up with technology. The full game will feature local music with main mechanics being collecting music pieces scattered across the levels, while using different weapon types to use on the “skatergoons” that have infested your hang out spots, refusing to wear a helmet. Talk to the NPCs scattered across the level for level goals, hidden daws, and other strange maybe nonsense.
Chapter 1 - 14 Levels - Parks, City Districts, Islands, Police Station, All in a playable state getting expanded
Chapter 2-9 - Babylon Territory - New Levels being currently built with philosphical takes on technological differences, and engine swaps.

The game was built with the help of ai and the documentation that both three.js and babylon provide. The best way is learning the documentation (slow but good) and keeping everything “share-ware” territory so that if you happen to see a better solution, offer it! Human-led.

Real Skate Story - Figure out where the new skatergoons are coming from, defeat "Conflict” itself located in the Library, return home. Chapter 2 begins. The destruction of conflict has resulted in new age changes like Babylon to reduce older technologies like three.js “pointless”, even though the older technology was serving a purpose for what it was built for, like wearing your helmet. Tear through repurposed literature as time itself has fallen on-top of itself as a way to prevent anything from happening at all! “Historical Impacts” ripped through the same plane and are creating havoc on the havok levels, on havoc levels never before seen! Hear the story with real human dialogue, voiced by musicians, artists, and probably some people off the street for the smaller roles.
Real Skate Tricks - Explode on Bail. Tre Flips, impossibles… Do 15 kickflips at Amusement (level 5) to open up the water park which is actually just blood. Questionably absurd objectives featuring characters such as The Warden, a privatived prison owner who has tricked your skating friends into tasks such as the deforestation level featuring Havok’s fancy destruction physics.
Real Simulated Terrain Deform via Simulated Real Weather - Tornados are the main slice. Discover true flatground while visiting new and old historical phenomemon. This storm was so strong that it pulled us into a timewarp!
Editors - The Skater Editor that currently works for Mall Level. Allowing you to create a json of your babylon character. The editors for the three.js currently work, but only helmet imports work for the first few levels. Level editors might be scrapped.
Weapons - Cult2011 starting pistol. Upgrades to Babylon-coded specfic guns including a Terrain Deform weapon. Currently figuring out how fluid-like simulations mechanics work in babylon to potentially use as blood, might be too demanding with ragdolls. glb imports might solve this. currently seeing how splitting up glb import skeletons to create dismemberment could work, figuring out at what point the blood would hit and specific thresholds.
