Artifical Intelligence

At least in my country (lucky me) the government is elected from direct democracy. And if the parlement does some shit (like it sometimes happens), US people can oppose and just burry the project. Problem with the AI is that currently my gov does not have any control nor any clear view on this AI. At the best, it is setting rules and proclaiming laws (with a delay and which are different for each country) that companies are simply instructed to follow but, let’s face it, none of our current democratic govs really have neither the legal tools nor the structure and the resources to keep a real watch on it.
So, what will it be then, if it is not for our current/territorial govs to rule it? Some sort of ‘Digital democracy’ based on a neo-merchant republic or venture politics sort of thing? Should I be admitting that if the majority of the ‘users’ commit or protest, the voice of the majority will make for the new rules (without further supervision from an independent or global organism)? I’m afraid I don’t trust humans and the tenants for a gov based on ‘Commerce’ all that much. I know, I’m a non-believer

There are a few solutions to the problem that I just thought of.

Use the smartest AIs to check and reformulate texts before they are published on the web. The Internet becomes an absolutely friendly heavenly place where everyone understands and appreciates each other. The eyes in a uploaded passport photo are also automatically lowered to the ground and are not allowed to look threateningly into the camera.

I guess many people will avoid this place. I also can’t imagine watching a movie for hours where everyone is smiling, holding hands and dancing around a fireplace with their heads bowed.

Letter writing will have a renaisance and there will be more talking. Maybe you’ll find out that your roommates aren’t so bad after all.

As simple as this:

Why do you have to complicate everything?

That’s just anticipation and not sci-fi if you ask me . Half of the job is already done. Just 20 more years of instacrap and metabook will surely get us there. :grimacing:

Don’t ask me. Already done :relieved:

I don’t have roommates. A good fence makes for a good neighboor

So it did happen, at least in my country :open_mouth: Yesterday at the evening news we have been informed that, as a world premiere, a deputy from the swiss parlement presented a project of law for the regulation of the AI written by… ChatGPT! He had no problems getting the job done by the AI. The AI even congratulated him for this initiative and expressed its ‘hopes’ that the law will be validated and enforced!!! This information somehow shaked our politicians and most of our representatives expressed their fears and the necessity to quickly finally discuss the topic of ‘AI regulation’.
For those who know ‘french’, the link to yesterdays evening news:

hello CodingCrusader
Skybox image generator is cool
So i tried many keywords but i can’t get the image i wanted that should be no buildings, no terrain.
how to get to imge removed this?

Hi 11128, due to the bing ai

“…However, there is no mention of removing objects from the image on their website or their Twitter account. You might be able to import the skybox into Unity and adjust some parameters on the material, but I’m not sure if that would remove the objects completely. Sorry, I couldn’t find a clear answer to your question.:pensive:

May be you’ll find an answer on the Discord Server of skybox blockadelabs.

I found on Discord a prompt which I used with the style fantasy landscape and it works, the result has no buildings or houses.

Nice but not ultimate. There are still many gaps and distorsions. It’s not tomorrow I will use such tool for my skybox. Glad to see that the AI is still not yet able to just entirely replace the skills of a graphic designer. It however brings some unexpected results that can drive inspiration and a different perspective. I would use it as a tool for ‘design thinking’ in the spirit of ‘collaboration with AI’. But then not as a final work. Of course, my opinion only.

I discover more and more new AI tools every day. The development in this area is also exponential!

Unbelievable! The human mind is not designed to produce random results. The “random” decisions always produce a pattern that an AI can recognize and make a safe prediction to win in the long run even in a game as simple as Rock, Paper, Scissors. No matter what we do, we have already lost because we are predictable!

I: What is creativity?

AI:
Creativity is the ability to come up with unique and original ideas or solutions to problems. It involves the generation of new and innovative ideas that have never been thought of before or combining existing ideas in a novel way to create something new.

Creativity is not limited to artistic pursuits but can be applied to all aspects of life, including business, science, and technology. It can involve thinking outside the box and taking a fresh approach to a problem, often leading to breakthroughs and new discoveries.

Creativity is a process that involves several stages, including preparation, incubation, illumination, and verification. During the preparation stage, individuals gather information and knowledge that they can draw on to generate new ideas. In the incubation stage, individuals step away from the problem and allow their mind to work unconsciously on the problem. In the illumination stage, a sudden insight or breakthrough occurs, leading to the generation of a new idea or solution. Finally, in the verification stage, the idea is evaluated and tested for its feasibility and effectiveness.

Overall, creativity is an essential aspect of human life that allows individuals to explore new ideas and solutions, leading to innovation and progress in various fields. It involves a combination of imagination, intuition, and logical thinking, and can be enhanced through practice, exposure to new experiences, and learning.

No faen chance. It would be like asking what ‘a good doctor’ is? A generalist, specialist, surgeon… showing both perfect medical/scientifical approach and empathy. Perfect in practice, business, analytics and communication… When I read this, I feel like I’m reading just any random job description posted today by HR on one of their fancy recruiting platform. A profile that does not exist. HR is looking at hiring ‘talents’ rather than ‘collaborators’ or ‘employees’. They want it all and think they will get it.
I’m afraid we are just simple humans and you cannot ask a human to excel in all of these in its professional life… Unless this human has no other life than his professional life. In which case he would become what… an AI…or a psycho
I believe one of our outmost ability as humans is to work together and work together in coordination. This is how we made it that far and I believe this is how we will (eventually) make it to the next step of evolution. We have hunters, builders, gatherers, scouts, fighters, coordinators… It is by using the specific skills of each individual that we create a stronger group. There’s no single human that will ‘save humanity’. Companies are just asking too much from each individual while disregarding the aspects of good coordination and leadership. If we would not have such poor leaders, the world and the humanity would be in a much better state.

The origin of word talent:

An ancient denomination of weight, originally Babylonian (though the name is Greek), and varying widely in value among different peoples and at different times. [Century Dictionary]

Source

Guru means, as far as I know, “someone whose words weigh something”. Weight here has something to do with importance and meaning.

But as long as we only pronounce words this is pure politics (poly = many, tic-> tok->token : signs, words").

Important is the doing, if you are not able to do something, then you have no talent and so no weight and no meaning as a being.

So doing is the essential thing that identifies us and makes us a real creator.

How do you achieve excellence? By doing over and over again what you are trying to achieve until you reach a level of supreme perfection.

Excellence starts with the understanding that you cannot be the best at everything.
