Babylon.js stopped working for me on chrome windows 10

Cc @RaananW

i can try inspecting that, but I will have to be able to reproduce this first. Does it happen when using any other browser? firefox, edge?

Okay, we’re on the same Chrome Version.

The issue was fixed for me on 08/22/2022, so matching my post history to the windows update installation that fixed my problem:

– it doesn’t seem to line up perfectly with the windows reported install dates. However, I think we can guess it was one of the two updates from August of 2022.

You may have to look for an optional windows update from the windows update menu.

None of this work ofc if your problem is inherently different. But check and see!

Sorry for the late reply.
I have all the 21H2 updates missing but I think that’s unrelated.

I eventually managed to fix the issue by … plugging my old Oculus Rift. I don’t know if it’s related to the Oculus app that auto updated, but all Chromium based browsers now run Babylon.js within a few seconds on startup.

I can now see several instances of Microsoft Edge WebView2 running in Process Explorer.

What?? I also have an oculus rift with software installed for it on my windows machine. That would be extremely weird if it were the culprit.

Wow, installing the latest oculus app also solved this issue for me. Thanks!
