MeshWriter permits the spontaneous generation of ad hoc text strings. The strings are made into mesh/SPS which are placed into a scene. The meshes are “full citizens” and may be given materials and manipulated, like any other mesh. (@Wingnut created a large repertoire of examples somewhere.)
MeshWriter now may be installed with NPM. This is new.
meshwriter.min is about 80K right now and includes ComicSans and Helvetica Neue, along with Jura. That is the only “standard” package.
But intrepid programmers may also create MeshWriter packages with their own preferred fonts. See: GitHub - briantbutton/meshwriter-font: Create font files for meshwriter This is also new.
