Way to implement sort of a Highlight Layer but with a group of meshes

Hi there:

I need to, let’s call it, “upscale” the functionality of the Highlight Layers, making that outline effect having account of all the meshes in a group.

I mean, I don’t want to show highlighted any interior outline between the individual meshes, only the one for the whole group.

Any advice on it?

Just wondering - isn’t it already the case?
