Bots on the forum

What do you guys think about bots on the forum? I know they are possible, because of @discobot. Are they allowed, and if so is there an API? Just asking, not actually planning on making one. :thinking:

I currently know how to do the following things:

@discobot start {name-of-tutorial}

Starts an interactive tutorial just for you, in a personal message. {name-of-tutorial} can be one of: Bounty hunter, advanced tutorial.

@discobot roll 2d6

Ok sorry for the ignorant question here, but why would we want a bot on the forum?

That’s not a passive aggressive question btw…I’m generally curious what the benefits would be?
