Guassian Splat Compression

I’m not sure if this is the right section to post this under, but I saw this paper that claims they are achieving 75x compression of 3DGS data, which would be a huge boost to using Guassian splats in web based experiences in terms of reducing load time and memory usage.


Gosh! we need to implement that when available!

There is a lot going with GS. Papers keep appearing :slight_smile: Compression is definitely something to look at. There is also some lossy compression algorithm available.
