fyi: The Spatial Web Standards - Spatial Web Foundation
The new web 3.0 standard was recently approved. @Deltakosh @sebavan Anyone on the team with eyes on this? Don’t think there’d be immediate impact on graphics but device based interaction with the new systems in XR seems highly relevant.
they say :
”The Spatial Web isn’t owned by any one company or platform; it is designed to serve everyone equally.”
then in the extremely small footnotes :
”SPATIAL WEB™ is a trademark of the Spatial Web Foundation.”
This is the first I’m hearing of it, but maybe not the same case for others. 
Not directly relevant to spatial computing, but all the mention of agentic AI and standardization reminded me of this project. Wonder how they’re feeling…
Standards come and go, some stick around, some don’t. Some of the revamped specs look good. We’ll see how it goes with this, still too early to say. I guess being aware is sufficient for now.
