We are very delighted to share the announcement of the opening of the latest art-work of the artist John Gerrard, which started to be presented to the public, today on the Winter Solstice.
The artwork is a progressive 4 part project, spread over one year, presented on the website of Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as a public installation.
Today on the Winter Solstice, and following a 3 month rythm, the frontpage of
is “taking over” by the artwork, to be the enty to the museum. Following and moving then into the year long exhibition.
We, as a small production team, are so pleased to be working and producing this work with, what we think is, the best engine in the world, babylonjs.
Especially this time, we have pushed ourselves to work even more innovatively, and that has been possible, as you are offering these possibilities through the Engine.
Huge shoutouts to the gaussian splat development team, you guys are just amazing, implementing the latest features, and that in a super professional manner.
As per today, March 20th 2026, Spring Equinox, LACMA continues the show with the next Ocean > Indian Ocean.
A full set of 25 plastic shoes, found and collected alongside the Indian Ocean, and transformed into the artwork > SPIRITS - artist john gerrard
We have reworked the system of the first 25 works, as there were different requirements and needs for this Ocean.
So the shoes do show a more vivid behovior and the journey is different, but ending in a burnt state, where the only way is the reset.
We also have intensly worked on the sound/audio component, which now also has more technical advancements. The composition is focussed and reflects the different conditions of the SPIRIT, as well the touch has influence.
As the work continues, there are 2 more seasons to be developed, of which the Summer will be the pinnacle.

As today the Work does takeover the frontpage.
As well here, later in the exhibition section.
