If we add #game-engine as one of our tags on the Github repo, it would be at the top of the list of Game engines when filtering by Javascript:
Github’s “Explore” area lists “Game engine” as a relevant category for Babylon.js. Knowing how awesome this game engine is, I was surprised when I realized Babylon is missing. Github’s Explore area is pretty popular, so it might help a lot with adoption.
I only recently learned about Babylon (via matter.js) after a long time searching for a good open source game engine. I would’ve found it a lot sooner if it was on the Explore page, because that was where I looked first.
While you’re at it, you could add a badge to the readme so people have more ways to find the forums:
