Any chance of a Maya 2025 plugin

Any chance of a Maya 2025 plugin? Currently BabylonJS supports up to 2023 and this does not work in 2025.
Thanks

We (the core team) have not enough time to continue supporting Autodesk products.
Ideally someone from the community would take the baton but this does not seem to be the case so far

I still don’t understand why Autodesk is not investing to provide a decent gltf exporter for their tools

Autodesk make most of their money through AEC and not media/games. 3ds and Maya don’t do much at all for their profits. In the AEC market, their focus is cloud solutions and buying-out competition. A few years ago I heard that there were only a couple of devs maintaining a lot of their desktop software. Probably just to keep the frameworks up-to-date, remove useful functionality and deploy a major version every year which costs the construction industry millions with ICT issues and terrible user experience

Never trust what Autodesk say/pledge. I have a love-hate relationship with them but wish they would push focus back on their desktop software again.

I’m hoping in the future we could fund the BJS exporter plugin through donations as I do think there can be funding found.

Yup. You can count me among these. My moto: If it works, don’t touch it  :joy:

Well, you’re not alone. I also have this same love/hate relation with a number of them. Including Apple. Only Microsoft managed to redeem themselves after the misses they made when acquiring Skype, selling MSFS to dovetails and a couple of other shit they did in the years 2011 to 2014. At least they learned from their errors and now are reliable again (and true to their roots). Cinema 4D is also still fine by me. Adobe is not as bad. As for the others, I also still ‘wish’ they will recover their mind someday and stop doing crap.
