Blender Rigged Animation Export Bug

Hi All,

Long time no see.

Anyway, found this bug in the Blender exporter. Basically if the name of your animation has dashes, dots, or anything but letters. The animation is not exported. For example, “Walk” works, but “Fast-Walk” (see below, right properties panel, highlighted) does not work.

That is not a bug. It’s a feature. When an action has a dash, that action is only exported for a mesh with a name to the left of the dash.

This is needed for when there are multiple meshes in the same scene with a current action assigned, and you need a way to only have that action exported for one mesh. See, Blender has no real concept of action ownership, just whether a current action or not.

If you named the mesh “Fast”, then an animation called “Walk” would be exported.
