Gaussian Splats not rendering in XR scene

Hello all!

I was hoping i could integrate gaussians splats to my app, i tried using the XR demo that places meshes on surfaces and changed the marker for a gaussian splat.

Thing is, no errors are thrown and the XR scene seems to load correctly but it doesnt render the gaussian splats.

I imagine this is not supported so i was wondering if there was a workaround for this or if i can request it as a feature
