Issues with "WebXR Augmented Reality Features" doc link

Is it known that the “XR Measurement Tape” link at the bottom of this page: WebXR Augmented Reality Features | Babylon.js Documentation throws an error? Also, are the demos on this page intended to be viewable on say an iPhone? They don’t seem to launch for me on my device. Thanks!

The XR measurement tape is using incubated AR features that need to be enabled in order to get them to work. It is fully documented in the page you visited (mainly here - WebXR Augmented Reality Features | Babylon.js Documentation and here - WebXR Augmented Reality Features | Babylon.js Documentation).

You will need to use the latest stable chrome after enabling the flag to get it to work, as WebXR is still a work in progress.

Regarding iPhone - no, Apple does not support WebXR so it will not work on your iphone. Two options to get advanced features on your phone would be to bombard apple with requests supporting web standards, or getting a new phone ;-). Joke aside, there is sadly little to nothing we can do about this.

Thank you @RaananW!

Real quick @RaananW : I assume you’ve seen the stuff that 8thWall is doing? I assume that is some custom CV.

They have their own CV/SLAM implementation, yes. From what I have seen it works very well cross-browser. It can be a bit expensive though.
