Pointer Picking strange with LOD meshes

Hey there, having a strange problem when adding LOD to meshes.

(use W to zoom in and s to zoom out). On initial load, my large sphere (the LOD mesh) is pickable. When I zoom in (so smaller sphere is visible) it’s not pickable. (use mouse to pick). I haven’t dug into code yet, but this seems “wrong-ish”.

Am I maybe doing something wrong here?

I can click both LOD
