In the readme.md file, there’s two separate “Contributing” sections with near-identical content. I’d like to contribute a fix for this, removing the lower “Contributing” section. The contributing.md file says to post on the forum before opening an issue. It’s not exactly a “bug” so I’m posting it in Questions for now.
What should I do to contribute? I’ve seen other topics about contributing documentation that seemed to move directly to making a fix and pull request. Should I make the fix and make a pull request, or should I open an issue on Github first?
EDIT: Added an image of the duplicate “Contributing” section
I just noticed readme-es6.md, which has only a single “Contributing” section, identical in content and placement to the lower section in readme.md:
I stated above that I was planning to remove the lower section in readme.md and keeping the upper section. I now plan to remove the upper section and keep the lower section, following the example in readme-es6.md. My questions still stand regarding what my next steps should be.
As this is the same link, you can just decide which one you want to remove
I took the liberty to update it myself with a better link - Update contribution link by RaananW · Pull Request #15140 · BabylonJS/Babylon.js (github.com)
