How to log or trace the value of an output port in the graphical Node Material Editor?

There’s no such debugging facilities in the editor. What you can try to do is to look at the generated shader code with Spector, but you won’t be able to see individual values for individual pixels if it’s what you are after (I’m not sure such debugger for shader code exists anyway).
