Hey Babylonians!
We are excited to be launching the GUI Editor public beta today! The editor is a culmination of a year’s work since the 4.2 release, and we’ve made tons of progress since the alpha. Some of the new features include:
- Across the board UI upgrades
- Improvements to selection, parenting, editing parameters, rescaling, rotating and so much more!
- Dozens of bug fixes
The standalone GUI editor can be found at http://gui.babylonjs.com/. You can also launch it from the inspector - if you have a scene with a UI in it, just click the edit button and the editor will pop out in a new window! From inside the editor’s hamburger menu, you can find a link to the documentation.
There are still a few things missing, which is why we’re calling it a beta for now - but we wanted you to get your hands on it, give it a try, and let us know what can be better.
We hope you love it! Whether you do or don’t, please leave some feedback for us here. Getting community input is so crucial in shaping the development of Babylon’s tools.
Best,
The Babylon Tools Team
