What a game needs... 🎮

Hello all amazing people!

In this topic I’d like to show you, what a game needs. There are lots of different games which are really nice. Some of them are 3d Shooter games, Obby games, 2d games and so on.

I would start with the first kind of game…

Obby
Obby stands for “Obstacle Course”. A Obby game needs obstacles like burning objects, big circulatory saws or big gulfs. It could be a 3D- or 2D game. How you like…

2D games:
This games are the simplest kind of games. A 2D game needs enemies and a goal. It could have a story. “Alpha guns” for example has got weapons. But other games, like “Super Mario” hasn’t got weapons. Some games like “The legend of Kyrandia book one” have got really old graphics, but it makes fun to play it.

3D games or 3D-Shooter
This kind of games should have a goal, enemies and a weapon. It could have a story, because that makes a game more interesting. If you ask me, this kind of games are really complicated to make. A good 3D game should have good graphics like “S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl” or “Ghost of Tsushima”. But games like “Minecraft” haven’t got really good graphics, but it makes fun to play them. :slightly_smiling_face:

This games are in the “Bird-Perspective”. That means that you look from above on the player like by “Diablo”. This games should have a goal and weapons. Most of this games are strategic games like “Command & Conquer” or “Star Craft”.

I believe a game needs good background music, it completely immerses the audience in the gameplay

Do you know a really good game ? If yes, then explain why. :slightly_smiling_face:

I know about 2k+ good games over 30Y+. How many really good games? Just a bunch of 'em.
A really good game is a perfect blend of ‘emotion’, ‘immersion’ and ‘interaction’ (or control). It basically calls on our basic instinct of searching ‘blessing/love’, ‘purpose/faith’ and ‘power/expansion’. Only if you meet all can you make a great game, that will remain in our memory.
Well, at least with this topic/post, you sure did expose yourself @REX_DUNGEUR .
“Tell me how you play and I’ll tell you who you are”, this is my moto;)
I now know more about you (the real you!) than with any lead collect form.

What do you exactly mean with ‘how you play’? :smirk:

It’s ‘how you play’ not ‘wow’. 'WoW you play is only something I keep for the hardcore gamers that can beat me in an FPS game;)

When we play, when we feel ‘safe’, when we ‘immerse ourself’ in an ‘alternate reality’, we forget about covering our back. We are open, we are true and… we are fragile. Think of how you play games. Think of why you tend to always choose a same class, a same approach. Think about how you dispatch your skill points. I can bet you 95% that you are likely to reproduce the same ‘aspiration’ than you have in reality (in your mind, in your mind of a free and thinking human that has secured the 2 first steps for human survival (or else, you wouldn’t be here at all). Think of how you play and relate it to how you act and think in real life. If you do that, you’ll know what I’m talking about…

If I play games, I always forget the reality. That’s why I like computer games…

Your mind thinks (like to think) that you are forgetting ‘reality’. That you are ‘offset’ of reality. The truth is, ‘reality’ and even ‘alternate reality’ is simply about who you are…
